New Year – New Hobby?
Do you love flowers? Would you like to spend an entertaining afternoon watching some of the most talented Flower Arranging Demonstrators in the country in action?
Why not join the Oxted & Limpsfield Floral Design Club where you will see some of the country’s best flower arrangers who will not only inspire you with their amazing displays but also keep you entertained with their wonderful stories.
We are a friendly group always looking for new members. We meet on the second Wednesday of every month at St Peter’s Church Hall, High Street, Limpsfield , Surrey RH8 0DG.
Our first meeting of 2018 is on Wednesday January 10th at 2.00pm with a talk by Dallas Taylor – “Victorian Posy”
Doors open at 1.30pm and demonstrations/talks start at 2pm. At the end of the demonstration there is a raffle where you have the opportunity to take home one of the stunning arrangements! We also have a Sales Table selling a range of flower arranging accessories as well as a second hand book stall. The demonstration usually finishes between 3.30pm and 4.00pm. Tea and coffee is served afterwards. At each meeting there is a Club Competition where members are invited to bring along an arrangement they have made.
We’re an active and vibrant Club – as well as our regular monthly meetings we usually hold two Open Meetings a year, a Summer Social, Quiz Night and Christmas Lunch. Throughout the year we also organise outings and run workshops for all levels and abilities.
Membership currently works out at just over £3 per meeting which is brilliant value for a really entertaining afternoon. Everyone is welcome to our Club and Open Meetings, tickets for visitors for Club Meetings are £5 and £8 for Open Meetings. You are welcome to come along to meetings as a visitor before joining. We would love to see you!
