An April Fool’s Fun Fest
Bletchfest’s now regular April
Comedy event, full of spring
chuckles, is back with an all star
line up of hilarious comedians
headlined by the wonderful Simon
Evans. These shows have never
failed to sell out – often very
quickly! The performers for this
event seem sure to maintain that
record.
Simon Evans is a UK comedian
with his own BBC Radio 4 series
Simon Evans Goes to Market
and with numerous radio and TV
appearances. He has appeared
on Live at the Apollo , Stand Up
for the Week, Michael McIntyre’s
Comedy Roadshow and Edinburgh
Comedy Fest Live amongst others.
Simon has toured in his own
shows Fringe Magnet, Friendly
Fire ,Leashed and in 2018 his show
Genius which garnered four-star
reviews at Edinburgh iFestival and
was described in The Scotsman as
an “extraordinarily accomplished
hour… a masterclass in socio-
political comedy”. He has also
supported Lee Mack on his UK
tour Going Out, and as a writer has
made a long running contribution
to Mack’s BBC sitcom Not Going
Out.
His sharp mind isn’t confined to
comedy. He has
won Celebrity
Mastermind
where his
specialist subject
was Ernest
Shackleton. That
razor sharp mind
is a feature of his
comic talent.
With a full
supporting
line up of
John Mann,
Alexis Roy
and Ash Frith
this popular
event in the
Bletchfest
calendar will
bring another
night of great
laugh out
loud stand up
comedy.
The Comedy
Night will be held at Bletchingley Village Hall on the
5th April doors open at 7pm with the show starting at 8pm. A licensed
bar will operate prior to the show and during the intermission. Further
information and ticket availability can be found on the Bletchfest
website at bletchfest.org/events
What better way to give an extra boost to the lift in spirits the dawning
of spring often brings than the chance to laugh out loud along with
your neighbours, family and friends. So do come along to support
the arts and community interests in Tandridge all while having a
great time!
Bletchfest is an initiative of Grange Meadow CIC, a community
interest company raising funds for community projects while
supporting and promoting visual and performing arts in the
region with its hub in the village of Bletchingley.
