Limpsfield is buzzing with activity
this April, with something for
everyone—from new local
businesses and creative workshops
to sports, music, and community
gatherings.
Coffee lovers will be excited to
hear that Fika Blends & Friends is
launching a coffee trailer at the
National Trust’s High Chart car
park on Moorhouse Road. Created
by locals Cathryn Kelly and Rachel
Scott-Taggart, this charming
horsebox café opens on Thursday
17th April, serving Thursdays,
Fridays, Sundays, and bank holiday
Mondays from 9am to 1pm.
Whether you’re out for a dog walk
or just need your morning caffeine
fix, this new spot is set to be a local
favourite. @fika.blendsandfriends
Cricket season is back, and both the
Limpsfield Chart Cricket Club and
Oxted & Limpsfield Cricket Club are
looking for new players of all ages.
Oxted & Limpsfield kicks off its pre-
season on 12th April with an inter-
club 1s and 2s game competing
for the David Adamson Cup, with
fixtures against Banstead and Old
Hamptonions in following weeks.
A big welcome to Anthony Jarvis,
the new Morning Assistant at
Memorial Stores. He starts bright
and early at 7:15am to manage
deliveries and open the shop,
before handing over to the
morning volunteer at 9:15am—so
be sure to say hello next time you
stop by.
For creative minds, Kate Tulett’s
Art 4 All studio on Limpsfield High
Street is hosting Easter art and craft
workshops for kids, led by Kate and
Helena Fuller. Kids will get hands-
on with painting, sculpture, graffiti,
and papier-mâché, developing their
artistic skills while enjoying a fun,
social environment. For the grown-
ups, Last Thursday is back on 24th
April, featuring art, live music, and
spoken word performances—book
your place in advance via Kate’s
website.
The Art Society Limpsfield is
holding an insightful lecture on
Antoni Gaudí on 30th April at
7:30pm, exploring the work and
legacy of the celebrated Spanish
architect. Entry is £10 for guests,
with refreshments served before
the lecture.
Shopping enthusiasts will be
pleased to hear that Bey Tree
Boutique is reopening after a short
break, with a brand-new collection
of colourful garden furnishings,
including cushions, picnic rugs, and
sun lounger pads as well as all its
fabulous clothing and accessories
for spring/summer. The Limpsfield
Home Company continues to offer
a beautiful selection of homewares,
ceramics, gifts, plants and flowers.
Both shops are open Thursday to
Saturday, 10am-4pm.
Community events continue with
the Limpsfield Village residents’
afternoon tea at The Bull Inn
on 2nd April, a fun Easter Egg
Hunt on 19th April, and live
music at Limpsfield Royal British
Legion, including One Eyed Jack
performing on 19th April as well as
St Peter’s and St Andrew’s regular
coffee mornings (Weds) and Parent
& Baby Group (Tues, St Peter’s).
Looking ahead, Surrey Day on 10th
May will coincide with the 80th
anniversary of VE Day, celebrating
Limpsfield’s wartime history with
music, entertainment, air raid
shelter open day, and a special
exhibition of local WW2 stories
and photographs. If you have
any WW2 memories or photos
to share, please email hello@
