Take Pride in your Parish and Help
Keep Limpsfield Looking Lovely!
We hope you enjoyed the January snow, which
looked beautiful across Limpsfield Common and the
Chart.
We love this time of year with the daffodils starting
to come out, making Limpsfield look very pretty. We
are so lucky to live in such a beautiful part of the
country and it would be great if we could all do our
bit to help keep Limpsfield looking lovely!
Simple things you can do to help include:
•
Take a bin bag on a walk once a week to pick
up litter (you can also collect litter picking bags
and tools from Tandridge District Council or
join the Friends of Limpsfield Common litter
picking team!)
•
Take secateurs on your walk to cut back any
nettles and brambles encroaching over the
paths
•
Weed the pavement outside your house, mow
your verges and keep your hedges cut back
•
De-grime
street name
signs if they’re
next to your
house
•
Report any
obstructions
or damage to
footpaths and
signposts (via
FixMyStreet)
•
Report any
damaged
signs or street
furniture,
rubbish or fly-
tipping to the
council as soon as possible (link on our website
– see new address below)
Access to Parish Council agenda, minutes, and
other useful info
You may not know the Oxted Library (actually in
Limpsfield!) has a local history room, which contains
lots of interesting information about the local area.
There is also a large cabinet holding many of our
historic maps,
which are available
to look at under
supervision from
the Librarian.
Please ask for
access.
The local history
room also contains
all our recent full
council meeting
minutes and other
useful information,
including
copies of our
Neighbourhood
Plan and Conservation Area Appraisal &
Management Plan, as well as the Limpsfield Village
Conservation Area leaflets for those residents and
businesses located in the village.
K6 Phone box on Limpsfield High Street
Sadly, our K6 phone box opposite St Peter’s Church
has been de-commissioned by BT. However, as it
is Grade II listed, it can’t be removed, so we will be
adopting it and putting it to another good use! Any
creative suggestions? Contact: clerk@limpsfield.org
Kent Hatch Road closure continues
The SES improvement works to water mains near
the junction of Golf House Road / Kent Hatch Road
continue this month, and into March with the partial
closure of the Kent Hatch Road from Brick Kiln Lane
and New Road, including the golf course slip road.
Diversions are in place.
