elderly and people living with dementia and their
carers), 10.30-12.30pm. A wide variety of activities to
choose from plus friendly advice and chat over hot

8 February: Sensory Services by Sight for Surrey,
Meet Up Catch Up, Join us at our Meet Up Catch
Up at Oxted Library, 12 Gresham Road, Oxted from
10am to 12pm. Meet Up Catch Up is an informal
get-together designed to help bring the local
community together and tackle the social isolation
that many people who are Deaf or who have sight
or hearing impairments often face. It’s a chance
to connect, enjoy a chat, and make new friends in
a relaxed and supportive environment. There’s no
need to book, just pop by, grab a cuppa, enjoy a
biscuit, and have a chat. Whether you’re looking to
meet others in the community, share experiences, or
just enjoy some company, we’d love to see you.
9 February: Chase those winter blues away with
a full afternoon of live music on Sunday at The
Oxted Sessions Winter Warmer. Five fantastic acts
will be descending on Hurst Green Community
Centre, from both near (Oxted) and far (Australia
and Northwest America!), serving up Country, Blues,
Rock, Roll & Soul. With advance tickets just £12.50
(or £1 for under-18s); Pizza Federicci on site serving
up their delicious pizza; and The Oxted Sessions
bar in operation, this is about as good as a Sunday
in February can get! Tickets are available from

17 February: The Tandridge Handicraft Society
is hosting a talk about Printmaking, Embroidery
and Mixed Media entitled “Impressions of Nature”.
Working to the seasonal rhythms of nature artist
Jade Taylor skilfully weaves narrative into her work.
Doors open 1:30, talk starts at 2pm. Visitors are
welcome, £5 entry including tea and biscuits. The

22 February: at 19.30 The Bawtree Hall, Hazelwood
School. The Oxted & Limpsfield Music Society
is thrilled to be hosting: Michael Mofidian, Bass
Baritone and Julius Drake, Piano. In a programme of
songs by two of the finest exponents of that art in
the world today. Per the New Yorker Magazine Julius
Drake is “a collaborative pianist nonpareil.” Tickets

26 February: The Arts Society Limpsfield - The
History of Art in Wallpaper Jo Banham, AFTERNOON
LECTURE ONLY 2.15pm start Limpsfield Church
Hall RH8 0DG. Refreshments BEFORE the lecture.
Wallpaper is often regarded as the Cinderella of
the Decorative Arts – the least precious of the
decorations produced for the home. The history
of wallpaper is a long and fascinating subject that
dates back to the 16th century. This lecture explores
the history and development of this product from
earliest times up to the present day.

London Welsh Male Voice Choir, St David’s Day
Concert with special guests - St Mary’s Primary
School Choir. Charity fundraiser in support of Oxted
Royal British Legion’s Veterans Hub and St Mary’s

whilst supporting these two totally worthy causes.
