Happy New Year from
Limpsfield Parish Council!
We hope you all had a lovely time
over the festive period.
Limpsfield Neighbourhood Plan
Review
Our Neighbourhood Plan was
adopted by Tandridge District
Council in 2019 and this year we
will be carrying out a review over
the coming six months - a little
later than planned, but Covid
got in the way of some of our
implementation projects!
The Planning & Development
aspect of our Neighbourhood Plan
is extremely important and will
be even more so this year with
the NPPF Reforms and threat to
the Green Belt, so this will form
a key part of the review. There
are several areas potentially at
risk within the parish and we will
continue to monitor and respond
to any development applications.
Please keep an eye out for updates
on our noticeboards, from our
website – www.limpsfield.org -
and on our social media,
@limpsfieldparishcouncil.
Clearance of Pebble Hill
Footpath
Having drastically cleared and
re-widened this path, that runs
between the village and Limpsfield
Infants School, a few years ago,
we have again cleared the leaves,
ivy and undergrowth and will be
looking forward to seeing all the
daffodils coming up around this
area and the rest of the village in
the coming month or so.
Snow & Ice
As we are entering the coldest
and most wintry months, please
see our website for locations of
grit boxes around the
parish and advice on
snow and ice clearance
and the government’s
“Snow Code”. Our
volunteer councillors will
endeavour to make sure
the pavements in the
village are gritted, as well
as access to Limpsfield
CofE Infants School and
to Glebe Meadow.

Coffee Mornings
We continue to support
the Chart Coffee
Mornings and hope that
you will make the most of
this lovely weekly event
at St Andrew’s Village
Hall on Limpsfield Chart. From
10-12 every Wednesday, it’s free
and a great opportunity to meet
some of your neighbours and chat
over a cuppa and a slice of one
of the team’s amazing home-
made cakes! St Peter’s also hosts
a weekly coffee morning on a
Wednesday and don’t forget that
Oxted Library is a Warm Welcome
Venue for a hot drink and
company – Tuesday to Saturday
9.30am-5pm.
Kent Hatch Road Closure
A reminder that scheduled SES
improvement works to water
mains near the junction of Golf
House Road / Kent Hatch Road
mean that the Kent Hatch Road
will be closed to through traffic
from 20th January 2025 for around
6 weeks. Brick Kiln Lane and New
Road will be open to local traffic,
but the Kent Hatch Road will be
closed between New Road and
Brick Kiln Lane. The golf course
slip road will also be closed.
Diversions will be in place. For
local access to the Chart and Pains
Hill, please use either Red Lane/
Short Lane or Moorhouse Road/
Ridlands Lane.
Meetings: Our monthly parish
meetings are on the second
Monday of every month (except
August) at 7pm, Limpsfield Infants
School. Our Planning meetings are
held on the fourth Tuesday of the
month, at St Peter’s Parish Office
at 6pm, unless otherwise notified.
If you wish to attend to raise an
issue at either of these meetings,
please email
clerk@limpsfield.org a week in
advance wherever possible.
