& Limpsfield” exhibitions—one
creatively displayed in the newly
adopted K6 red phone box on
Limpsfield High Street, and
the other in the foyer of Oxted
Library. These exhibits offered
a fascinating glimpse into our
local wartime history through
photographs and personal stories.
If you missed them, you can still
view the content online at www.
LimpsfieldSurrey.com.
In other village news, we’re
thrilled to share that thanks to
the generosity of residents, local
supporters, the Drinking Fountain
Association, and our insurers, full
funding has now been secured to
replace the stolen heritage horse
trough. The original, taken last
August held deep historical and
sentimental value. While we still
hope it may one day be recovered,
a faithful replica—featuring all
original engravings—is now being
commissioned, with installation
planned for this summer. This
project has been a shining
example of community solidarity,
and we thank everyone who
donated, shared the story, and
helped restore a beloved piece of
Limpsfield’s history.
