Mondays: Art Group - we meet every Monday at
Bletchingley Community Hall 1 pm to 4 pm. We are
a small friendly group of amateur watercolour artists
who paint for fun and enjoyment. Having no tutor,
we help and encourage one another to improve

8 Nov: Come along to our Christmas Fair in aid of
Cystic Fibrosis, to be held in the United Reformed
Church, Bluehouse Lane, Oxted from 2:00pm to
5:00pm. There will be a small entrance fee to cover
tea or coffee and cake, but also a Raffle and sales of
Christmas Cards and some Gifts and Crafts.
10 Nov: The Oxted Sessions; Sarah Jane Scouten
at The Ginistry. Sarah Jane Scouten is a Canadian
singer-songwriter, and a four-time nominee at the
Canadian Folk Music Awards. Support comes from
Anna Howie, a singer-songwriter based in the South
East of England whose music straddles the genres of

13 Nov: Meet Up Catch Up is an initiative run by
Sensory Services by Sight for Surrey, helping to
combat social isolation for people who are Deaf, hard
of hearing, blind, partially sighted and deafblind. The
event runs every 2nd Wednesday of the month from
10am to 12pm. Please pop in for a cuppa and a chat
at Oxted Library, RH8 0BQ.
15 Nov: Snelling Lecture 2024 at Oxted United
Reformed Church. John Bell: A World Fit For Our
Children: An increasing number of young people fear
the future will not be safe. How, in troubling times, do
we enable them to create a better world? 8pm start,

23 Nov: The Oxted Sessions; The Vapors at Hurst
Green Community Centre. New Wave rock band
The Vapors are best known for their massive 1980
worldwide hit “Turning Japanese”. Support comes
from The Wot Nots, a seasoned punk rock band
hailing from the leafy landscapes of Surrey. Two
members of the band – Rob and James – may be
familiar to Oxted locals from Turnstyles Barbershop!

23 Nov: Head2Head Sensory Theatre presents a
different kind of pantomime where everyone can
join in! ‘Rumpelstiltskin’ is a fun, interactive, relaxed
pantomime for ALL families. Led by a professional
cast experienced at working with children with SEND
who will perform alongside and amongst children.

24 Nov: North Downs Community Orchestra is
delighted to introduce our new Musical Director,
Anna Maria Tabor, conducting our winter concert;
Sound of the Season featuring Christmas classics

27 Nov: The Arts Society Limpsfield Lecture; Behind
the Scenes at the National Gallery – Sian Walters, 2.15

28 Nov: The Woodhouse Craft Centre Open Morning.

29 Nov: Christmas Market at Woldingham School,
Marden Park. A very special annual outdoor festive
shopping event featuring exhibitors selling luxury and
unique goods and artisan fayre, including cheese and
drinks. 4pm – 7.30pm in the beautiful quadrangle,
adjacent to the mansion. The market is a charity event
raising funds to support the education of girls. Entry
is £5 for adults and free for under 18s. There will be
plenty of festive catering, Christmas lighting and live
carols.
