VOLUNTEER DRIVERS IN OXTED
DESPERATELY NEEDED!
Sensory Services by Sight for Surrey are in desperate
need of volunteer drivers in Oxted to drive people
to their offices in Fetcham where they can visit
their Resource Centre to find specialist equipment
to help them manage their sight and hearing loss,
or meet with one of their Tech Experts for one-to-
one support to manage their mobile phones or IT
equipment.
The offices contain a fully stocked Resource Centre,
brimming with devices and gadgets to help people
manage their sight and hearing loss including
magnifiers, task lamps, bump-on stickers, vibrating
and flashing doorbells and smoke alarms, large
button telephones, TV listening devices and much
more!
In addition, they need drivers to transport people in
Oxted to their monthly Meet Up Catch Up at Oxted
Library. The informal get togethers take place every
2nd Wednesday of the month between 10am and
12pm and are designed to bring the local hearing
and sight loss community together and help reduce
social isolation that many people who are Deaf, hard
of hearing, blind, partially sighted and deafblind can
experience.
Volunteer driving is the perfect volunteer role
for those looking for a monthly or more ad hoc
commitment. A full induction is given, and drivers
will be reimbursed for their mileage at 45p per mile.

Farm this Halloween!
The much-loved
family Farm Park in
Surrey will be hosting
a range of ‘friendly-
frights’ and festive
fun from Saturday

through Godstone
Farm’s Halloween
mini golf course and
enjoy a scavenger
hunt around the Farm.
Plus, new this year… “The Wall”! Visitors can bravely
dare to place their hand into…the unknown! On top
of all of this, Godstone Farm is hosting its star-
studded Low Bangs Fireworks event on Saturday
26th and Sunday 27th October – that’s the first
Saturday and Sunday of our October half Term.
Godstone Farm’s Low Bang Fireworks event is
packed with fun, starting with a pre-show including
dancing and games for everyone. Captain Fantastic
will be taking to the stage to entertain with magic
and comedy, culminating in a mesmerising fire
