Hop to it! Godstone Farms launches its first ever Easter Grotto

This spring, Godstone Farm is launching its first ever Easter Grotto. From Friday 1st April – Monday 18th April 2022, families will have the chance to meet big ears himself, the Easter Bunny.

Children will get the chance to step inside a magical grotto, filled with curiosities and enchanted wonders. Upon reaching the Easter Bunny’s warren, he’ll be egg-cited to hear from visitors and how they plan to celebrate Easter. Children will be ‘all ears’ as there will also be some fun surprises and little-known facts to help bring the magic of the experience to life such as, ‘Did you know rabbits have a sweet tooth? They love fruit!’ And, “Did you know rabbits can jump up to three-foot high?’ Children will also receive an eggtra-special gift. With strong ticket demand expected, the farm is encouraging parents to “hop to it” and book a time slot via the website, fast.

CEO of Godstone Farm, Nicola Henderson comments: “With restrictions now lifting, Godstone Farm is embracing a new chapter of fun and frolics on the farm. It’s the perfect time of year to wiggle your bunny tails and welcome the start of spring; enjoy fluffy new baby animals being born, smell the flowers in bloom, listen to the birdsong in the trees and make the most of the fresh air across our 45 acres of farmland.”

In addition, the farm will be ‘choca-block’ with activities to ensure that families can make a day of it. As well as lots of new arrivals including goat kids, bunnies and chicks, the perennial favourites will also be open such as the Farm Trail, Animal Holding, Indoor Playbarn, The World of Dinosaur Roar! Discovery Trail and Outdoor Play Areas.

Coming up

The rest of the year is no less exciting; Farmyard Antics is also a new event giving children the chance to be farmer for the day – feeding, cleaning and grooming during the May half-term.

The summer holidays are going to be especially busy with what Godstone Farm is billing as its Storybook Summer – a series of activities inspired by nursery rhymes and fables. There will be a range of crafts and trails to keep active youngsters inspired and energised!  And back by popular demand, is The Big Farm Sleepover – this is the chance to camp within Godstone Farm’s rolling hills (selected two-night dates in August 2022). Kids will be able enjoy campfire stories under the moonlight and collect eggs from the hens for an al fresco breakfast.
