The Oxted Churches wish you
all a Happy, Healthy and
Blessed Christmas
Whereas the shops start to
celebrate Christmas from at least
the days just after Halloween if
not before, from the beginning of
December the churches observe
the time as one of preparation
for the birth of Christ. Once
the middle of December arrives
however the local schools and
churches start to celebrate
Christmas with a full programme
of services and activities which are
open to all.
The Oxted and Tandridge
Churches (All Saints with St.
Ambrose), King’s Church, St.
Mary’s, St. Peter’s and The United
Reformed Church), therefore invite
you to join them in their services
and celebrations.
With a large variety of the types of
service and the times at which they
are to be held there should be
something to suit everyone. Some
of the services are straightforward
solemn acts of worship whereas
others provide the chance to
sing some of the familiar and
much loved Christmas carols.
The Nativity services at St. Marys
and St. Peter’s are very informal
and provide younger members
with the chance to dress up and
re-enact the story of Jesus’ birth
including the visitors who came to
worship Him.
Listed below are the special
Christmas services and activities
that each church is hoping to be
able to organise but in case there
are any changes please refer to the
church websites (details of which
are set out below), or ‘phone the
respective church office to check
what is available.
Christmas Greetings from
the Oxted Churches
