BlackBerry Veterinary
Clinic Donates £1,000
to Folly Wildlife Rescue
We are thrilled to announce that BlackBerry Veterinary Clinic has
donated £1,000 to Folly Wildlife Rescue, thanks to a community grant
provided by our parent company, IVC Evidensia.
Based in Tunbridge Wells, Folly Wildlife Rescue is an animal hospital
dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating thousands of sick and
injured animals each year. Many of the wildlife patients we care for
at BlackBerry Vets are referred to Folly, as we aren’t always able to
provide the rehabilitation they need ourselves.
Our dedicated veterinary team worked together to apply for the
grant, and we’re proud to support such a worthy cause. Head Nurse
Katie Faulkner shared, “As a team, we already play a positive role in
the community by caring for animals, so it’s fantastic that we’ve been
able to secure this funding for Folly. Supporting their vital work in
wildlife rescue and rehabilitation is incredibly important to us.”
Liz Chandler, General Manager at Folly Wildlife Rescue, expressed
her gratitude: “Each year, we admit over 3,500 sick, injured, and
orphaned animals. As a charity, we don’t receive any government or
lottery funding, so we rely entirely on the kindness of the public and
fundraising efforts. This donation will make a significant impact on
our ability to continue our work for wildlife.”
In addition to rehabilitating wildlife, Folly also runs an educational
program that engages local communities and schools to raise
awareness about wildlife conservation and care. If you have any
concerns or questions about local wildlife, Folly is a valuable resource.
