Come see our new markings at our Open Day
At Limpsfield C of E Infant school we needed a complete refresh of
our outdoor play environment. Resurfacing of our playground had
given us a blank canvas and it was tricky to decide exactly what
to do. We’re so glad that we chose Fun and Active to work with
– because they helped us every step along the way to help our
vague dreams become a vibrant reality.
The virtual meeting to help us picture what the final design would
look like was invaluable – as was their reassurance that it would
be possible for us to have the markings done during the school
day. The team arrived exactly when they said they would, were
thoroughly professional and even finished early! It was well worth
adapting the coming into school and playtimes because with a
single day we had a resource the children could be using straight
away.
Everyone has commented on the quality of the designs – and we
are delighted with the mix of those which will get them all active
(which we have funded via sports premium,) and those to support
their learning which our (Limpsfield School Association - LSA
parents) funded. We were particularly delighted that Fun and
Active installed an LSA logo so that everyone could see what their
fundraising had supported!
And above all – the children love them! Come see our new
markings on our Open Day Wednesday 9th July. Contact
admissions@limpsfield.surrey.sch.uk to sign up.
Caterham, Oxted and Godstone Lions Club
For several years we have given Easter Eggs to St. Catherine’s
Hospice (kindly donated by Morrisons at Oxted). This year the
Hospice requested that we might change this gift to groceries, as
they really had a need there – so we donated both - why wouldn’t
we?!
This year’s Swimathon will take place on the 10th May at De
Stafford School in Caterham on the Hill. We still have capacity
for this fun event, so if you know of a group which would like
to take part and raise money through sponsorship for their own
organisation as well as Lions’ charities, please tell them make
contact as soon as possible to coglions@lineone.net. for an
information pack or maybe you could get sponsored to give it a
go yourself? You don’t have to belong to a group to take part.
