13 May: The Oxted Sessions: Austin Stambaugh at
Toast. Ohio native Austin Stambaugh is venturing
over for his first ever UK tour this year, and finishes
his adventures in Oxted. Austin - armed with his
beautiful voice, melodic whistling and intricate
guitar work - will play an intimate show at Toast. A
wonderful songwriter and musician, this is a must for
fans of folk storytelling and American country twang.

20 May: OXTED WI Open Meeting with a lecture by
Grace Evans – A Bride Revisited. Grace is curator at
Chertsey Museum. Visitors are most welcome. Please
join us for Tea and cake. A donation of £3 would be
most appreciated. New members are always welcome.

23 May: The Oxted Sessions: Bernard Butler at St
Mary’s Church. Bernard Butler has been hailed as one
of Britain’s most original and influential musicians,
most notably through his work with Suede, David
McAlmont, Jessie Buckley and in his own solo work.
He is a Mercury Prize and Brit Award winner, and
comes to Oxted on the back of his critically acclaimed
solo album “Good Grief”. Limited tickets remain,

28 May: The Arts Society Limpsfield - The Art of
Stained Glass by Nicole Menzy. This lecture looks at
the development of stained glass, its purpose, the
process by which it was created and some of the
extraordinary survivals. EVENING LECTURE ONLY, 7.30
start Limpsfield Church Hall, RH8 0DG. Refreshments
will be served before the lecture. Guests £10 on the
door.
26 May: Bank Holiday Monday: Oxted One World
Group is holding its ever popular Open Gardens
afternoon. Five interesting gardens of all shapes and
sizes in the local area will be open for people to look
round. Refreshments will be available at two of the
gardens along with a plant stall and raffle at one of
them. Tickets priced at £15.00 each give admission to
all the gardens and include a map of their locations.
They are available from any committee member or
from Lorimers in Oxted and from the Memorial Stores
in Limpsfield. They are also available online at
www.oneworldgroupoxted.org.uk Please note that
dogs are not allowed in the gardens.
9 June: The Tandridge Handicraft Society is hosting
a talk entitled “A Journey Within”. The talk will
be presented by Olivia Fraser. Doors open 1:30,
talk starts at 2pm. Visitors are welcome, £5 entry
including tea and biscuits. The Society meet every
Monday at the Woodhouse Centre, Hoskins Road car
park, opposite Tandridge Leisure Centre, Oxted RH8

21 June: Circus PaZaz is coming to The Children’s
Trust in Tadworth for a day of laughter, magic and
awe-inspiring aerial skills. Gates will open at 10am,
with circus performances at 11am, 1pm, and 3pm in
the brilliant (little) big top on the mansion lawn. There
will also be a range of activities including a circus
skills area, game stalls, craft area, delicious food and
more! By joining us for a day of circus magic, you’ll
also be helping us to ensure children and young
people with brain injury and neurodisability live the

22 June: Limpsfield Chart Fair is being held from 12
noon to 4 pm. It is held on Limpsfield Chart Cricket
ground off Stoneleigh Road. Attractions include
a Dog Show, live music from local bands, a BBQ, a
bar, refreshments and cakes, ice cream. There will be
activities for children and stalls for the adults.
