Get ready to mark your calendars for the highlight event of the season:
the St. Mary’s May Fayre! Join us on Saturday, 10th May, from 1.00pm
to 5pm for an unforgettable day filled with family-friendly fun, delicious
food, music with a DJ, entertainment at intervals through the afternoon
and community spirit. There will be an array of attractions that promise
to delight guests of all ages, all taking place in the large attractive
grounds of St. Mary’s Primary School.
There will be plenty of activities to try including three inflatables to
bounce on, Pick a Lolly, tombolas giving you the chance to win a soft
toy, chocolates or sweets, and a welly waggle, In addition Rugby Tots
will have a pitch for children to play in and Girls Attack Netball will be
laying on an activity for the energetic.
For those looking to find something interesting to buy there will be
a variety of stalls selling gifts, jewellery, plants, books, and hopefully
cakes.
In advance of the Fayre it will have been possible to buy tickets online
for the raffle and hopefully put in bids for items available in a Silent
Auction. There will be a huge variety of things on offer including
services, tickets for days out to local attractions, and an interesting
variety of goods and vouchers generously donated by local firms,
already including vouchers for a free dance class, a free fitness class, a
horse riding lesson and a £100 cake voucher.
Throughout the afternoon there will be variety of entertainments
including performances from a school choir, a Bastet Dance group, the
Surrey Dance School and Whoop Fitness, all co-ordinated by our DJ.
with music in between.
But the fun doesn’t end there! Test your aim at traditional games like
“Soak the Rector” -- the Revd
James Ashton has agreed to have
wet sponges thrown at him while
his body is encased by a cut out
figure, leaving his head and arms
as a target or join in a water fight.
For the energetic from 4.00pm
until 5.00pm there will be a pram
race round the school field with
teams of 2 to 6 including an
adult. The hungry and thirsty can
indulge in mouthwatering treats
from the parent led barbecue,
offering hot dogs, burgers, and
more with vegan and vegetarian
options, and then wash it all
down with a refreshing beverage
from our licensed bar or a hot
drink from a locally owned coffee
van or treat yourself to a sweet
scoop from our ice cream van or
a bag of popcorn.
Admission to the Fayre is via
the Downs Way Infant section
entrance and costs £.2.00 per
head – This can be paid in
advance via https://buytickets.at/

school experience for the children
through enriching experiences
and essential equipment while
some will go to St. Mary’s Church
– helping to fund urgent repairs
