OXTED SERVED FRESH NEW-LOOK PIZZERIA
Following a major refurbishment, PizzaExpress on Station Road East threw open its doors to unveil its brand-new look on Monday 17th May.
After closing during lockdown in 2020, the pizzeria is back and better than ever with a vibrant refresh that has been completed in time for the brand’s national reopening for indoor dining, giving pizza lovers their fix of American Hots, Sloppy Giuseppes, Fiorentinas and more once again.
The first restaurant that PizzaExpress has revamped this year, the refresh brings the flavour and passion of Italian dining culture to the town, inspired by the original vision of Founder, Peter Boizot, who first introduced the taste of authentic pizza to the UK in 1965.
At the heart of the restaurant is the open kitchen, the stage from which expert pizzaiolos showcase their talent – and love – for pizza making. As much of a feast for the eyes as for the belly, diners will delight as they bring the theatre and authenticity of the craft to the fore.
Textures of white marble, timber, zinc, and leather fill the dining area, which offers a range of table settings that cater for different occasions. The restaurant’s colour palette of teals and oranges is complemented by brushed metal and gold furnishings, with festoon lighting and over-hanging plants finishing it off to create an intimate ambiance that welcomes diners upon their return. In tribute to Peter Boizot, a bespoke artwork also takes pride of place.
The outdoor space has also been boosted with brand-new awning, lighting, and planters – so when summer comes, guests can tuck into their favourite recipes al fresco style.
